The Beauty Within

For me, the thought of the flashing fireflies on the evening summer meadow started out as fun. It was just to show the mechanics of how to start a religion.

I came up with the fireflies. They are beautiful and their glow is a miracle of nature.

But they don’t shine just for themselves. They find their community on the evening summer meadow, they shine in their little lives, they find their partners and they have a short life. It’s that simple and so beautiful.

For me it is the same thing, human life. We live our lives too, we just make it so complicated for ourselves. People muddle around in their lives, collect money, build houses and bridges, have fun, drive big cars, get drunk and travel a lot, but the bottom line?

What’s the bottom line?

Ultimately, we are born, we reproduce, and we die.

The bottom line of life is that we gave birth to children and raised them.

That’s the bottom line for life. That’s how everyone does it. The animals, the plants, the insects, the fireflies, all of them.

They live, give birth to children and die.

And the fireflies, they flash.

For me, this is a wonderfully beautiful picture in nature, that there is also something beautiful, like the flashing of fireflies. Not what you can do, but what you can be in life.

The miracle of being particularly beautiful.

Of course there are beautiful people, but they are only beautiful for 20 years, after which they are ugly and despised.

But the beauty from within lasts the whole of life and it applies to all people, whether big or small, whether fat or thin.

Inner beauty is the most special thing that people can have. That’s what’s special about the firefly, and that’s what’s special about humans as long as they live.

That is the image I would like to convey.

Light.

Light up within.

Be a light for yourself and for others.

You are born and you will die.

But what’s in between? Big cars, big wallets, messing around, traveling, having fun, living intensively, yes. But experiencing inner happiness, radiating happiness, having awareness, shining within, that makes life twice as intense, deeper, more content, happier. And when you die, you can smile and let the world go.

Die innere Schönheit

Für mich hat der Gedanke an die Blinkenden Glühwürmchen auf der abendlichen Sommerwiese als Spaß angefangen. Es ging nur um die Mechanik zu zeigen, wie man eine Religion gründet.

Ich kam auf die Glühwürmchen. Sie sind wunderschön, und ihr Leuchten ist ein Wunder der Natur.

Doch sie leuchten nicht allein für sich selbst. Sie finden ihre Gemeinschaft auf der abendlichen Sommerwiese, sie leuchten in ihrem kleinen Leben, sie finden ihre Partner und sie haben ein kurzes Leben. So einfach und so wunderschön ist das.

Für mich ist es auch das Gleiche, das Leben des Menschen. Wir leben auch unser Leben, nur machen wir es uns selbst so kompliziert. Der Mensch wurschtelt in seinem Leben herum, sammelt Geld, baut Häuser und Brücken, hat Spaß, fährt dicke Autos, besäuft sich und macht viele Reisen, aber unter dem Strich?

Was ist unter dem Strich?

Letztlich werden wir geboren, wir vermehren uns und sterben.

Als Fazit des Lebens haben wir Kinder zur Welt gebracht und sie großgezogen.

Das ist das Fazit für das Leben. So machen es alle. Die Tiere, die Pflanzen, die Insekten, die Leuchtkäfer, alle.

Sie leben, bringen Kinder auf die Welt und sie sterben.

Und die Leuchtkäfer, sie blinken.

Dies ist für mich ein wunder- wunderschönes Bild in der Natur, dass es auch etwas Schönes gibt, wie das Blinken der Leuchtkäfer. Nicht das, was man machen kann, sondern, was man im Leben sein kann.

Das Wunder, besonders schön zu sein.

Natürlich gibt es schöne Menschen, aber das sind sie nur für 20 Jahre, danach sind sie hässlich und werden verachtet.

Die Schönheit von innen hält aber das ganze Leben und es gilt für alle Menschen, ob groß oder klein, ob dick oder dünn.

Die innere Schönheit ist das Besondere, das Menschen haben können. Das ist das Besondere am Leuchtkäfer, und das ist das Besondere am Menschen, solange er lebt.

Das ist das Bild, das ich gerne vermittelt möchte.

Leuchte.

Leuchte innerlich.

Sei für Dich selbst ein Licht und für andere.

Du wirst geboren und Du wirst sterben.

Aber was ist dazwischen? Größe Autos, dickes Portemonnaie, wurschteln, reisen, Spaß haben, intensiv leben, ja. Aber inneres Glück erleben, Glück ausstrahlen, Bewusstheit haben, innerlich leuchten, das macht das Leben doppelt intensiv, tiefer, zufriedener, glücklicher. Und wen Du stirbst, dann kannst Du lächeln und die Welt gehen lassen.

Leuchte von innen. Das ist Dein Leben.
